Jim Patelli flies to a 2nd place finish, setting fast lap for class 8, at the SNORE Midnight Special

Recent News!

Sept 10 - The C8C Welcomes its newest member
Barb Warner has joined the Coalition.  Barb has been an off-road enthusiast since the early '80's when she began racing ATV's.  She hopes to have her own truck some day, but in the meantime, she'll be holding down the right seat in Ed Geoffroy's Chevy Blazer.  Welcome to the group, Barb.

Sept 3 - Ed Geoffroy completes his Chevy Tahoe Blazer
When Ed Geoffroy joined the C8C, he was in the process of building up his Chevy Blazer.  Well, it's finished and we're all looking forward to seeing Ed at the races with it.  Congratulations, Ed, on finishing your truck.

Aug 30 - Battleborn Racing Joins the C8C
Doug Seymour of Sparks, Nevada, has joined the Class 8 Coalition.  Doug primarily races in the VORRA series, however, he plans on competing in select BITD and SNORE events.  Doug is a veteran class 7, 9, and 1/2-1600 driver who is currently campaigning a Ford F-150 in class 8.  Welcome to Doug.  You can visit his website at www.battlebornracing.com for more information, or to check out his models.  ;-)

Aug 3-4 - Jim Patelli takes 2nd at the SNORE Midnight Special
Jim Patelli set fast lap for Class 8, and had the seventh fastest lap time overall at the SNORE Midnight Special.  His average speed for his fastest lap was a blistering 52.3 mph as he covered 42 miles in 48.16 minutes.  His co-driver, Joe Patelli, had an unfortunate encounter with a rock as it penetrated his helmet and hit him in the eye causing an unscheduled driver change.  (Hope you're okay, Joe.)  Jim was leading 12 miles from the finish when his center link broke, costing them 40-minutes of down time.  Congratulations to Jim and his team on a great showing.  The class win went to Eric Heiden.

How do I join the Class 8 Coalition?

In order to join the Class 8 Coalition, you must either be the owner of a Class 8 vehicle, or represent the media.  In addition, you will need the recommendation of two sponsors already in the Class 8 Coalition.  If you meet these requirements and would like to join, contact Klaus Rasch.

Class 8 Coalition members are automatically added to the Class 8 mailing list.  This mailing list helps members keep in touch and is an excellent forum for discussions.
